Another Desperate Princess Post

First I''d like to say thanks for this site and everyone who posts here. I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about diamonds, and honestly am more confused now on what to buy than before.

I have read many posts, looked at Cut Charts, read about Tables, Depths, Cuts etc.. I have found that as with most things in life, it is much more complicated than just the four C''s which everyone seems to tout. And there are many differing opinions on what to look for.

Basically I am looking for something close to 1 Ct. which is of good Color, Clarity, Cut, Depth, Table, Flourescent''s, etc.. in a princess cut for around 3,000. I have done many searches, but start to get lost in table to Depth ratio''s (i.e. should table always be less than depth, how much spread between the two, etc..). I also have read that maybe some flourescents isnt bad especially with a G or H color, but it seems G or H''s with Slt or MB Flour. are as much sometimes as F with none. Anyways, if some of you diamond experts were shopping with this type of budget, what parameters would be most important to you.

Thank you for any help, and responses. If I had worked as many hours as I have spent learning and looking for diamonds, I could have afforded to pay retail by now....

Here are some ideas. http://www.gemappraisers.com/ gives a guide to princess cuts. Click on AGA cut grading on the left and then select princess cut. The first two stones exceed your budget a bit but also provide info on the stone's cut, which you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere so easily.
