Another Asscher - This one From GOG

Wow! Left asscher was stunning! Nice size too!

I love GOG's Asschers. The Asscher on the Left is more "old school" in it's design, and I love Royal Asschers! The table is large, but I love tables of all sizes in step-Cuts. The symmetry & cut of the steps & facets of the stone on the left are very good...it dims & flashes in all the right places, at each angle.
I believe, if you had an ASET & IS of that stone, it would hit the mark very well. ;)2

The left looks promising, but it's easy to look good in artificial lighting. It's worth getting an ASET and maybe a video of it by the window (I'm surprised he didn't do that actually as it's usually a standard for him).

I have them. Will post tomorrow

It is clear the left is the better performer. but I like the shape of the right stone more. I prefer the corners a little bit more cut than the none on the left. However the right is out of contention. I would for sure look st he left stone and ask to look for more stones.

This. I'd want the shape/windmills/faceting/crown of the right but performance of the left.

They're out there. It just takes patience and time to hold out for them.

SST, Have You looked at GOG Signature Asscher diamond? I'm on a diamond search as well and I'm going between the Octavia cut and the S. Asscher.

That is very true. Its a bit rectangular :)

I was willing to give in on shape to get performance. I also love emeralds so much too, so a 1:1.03 was wonderful for me.

So it just depends on what you want and how long you want to possibly wait....

I see all bright performing asschers as contenders... that is what I love about asschers-- that they are not all the same.

Individuals. You get to pick what you want!

Yes on hold :). Here are some more details and a daylight video. I agree that it is a little rectangular but Im not sure that I might love that....More stones coming on Monday tho. GOG are really coming up trumps I must say. Amazing service!
Im looking forward to hearing all your thoughts

First a disclaimer GOG sells my Octavia asscher and I have known Jon a looong time.

Interesting, I think the window shots are more indicative of its real world look
larger windmills so the blue areas were not so big would be a plus, and would increase the small/med flashes.
Crown height is a bit low but ok. Would have more small/med flashes with a higher crown.
Its unique that's for sure.
