Anniversary present - sapphire marquise eternity

I can''t believe it''s been a year! This time last year, I was a blushing (well, okay, I''m lying - I seem to lack the "blush" function) bride, and now I''m an old married lady. We celebrated the anniversary on the Queen Mary for their annual Halloween bash: I was a minor demon, and he was my zombie victim. It was terribly sweet, and frighteningly appropriate.

And the cherry atop the cupcake is that I''m a demonic old married lady with additional bling ....

For our anniversary, the husband got me a platinum eternity band with alternating sapphire marquise and round diamonds ... and I''m afraid I may have gone slightly picture crazy.

That ring is gorgeous! I''ve never seen one of that style that actually has a marquise shaped stone, they are usually 2 or 3 little rounds masquerading as a "marquise." Do you know where your DH found it?

Thanks Selkie! No ghosts, but an awful lot of people who confused the distinction between "costume" and "underwear," which was kinda scarier.

The ring''s an eBay purchase: much was the nail-biting until it arrived and until we could see what it actually looked like: the seller had the blurriest taken-from-across-the-room-shots I''ve ever seen. But since we''d e-mailed her to make sure that they really were marquises and since I''d never seen a fakey version with marquises myself, we figured it was worth a gamble ... and, boy, was it! The stones are great quality, and the workmanship is lovely. I''m betting it''s a repro rather than a vintage piece, and it vaguely reminds me of the styles that are up on Fay Cullen, Beverly K, etc., but I''ve never seen this exact one anywhere myself - it''s a mystery!
