Angles and HCA performance (HELP)

It's a GIA XXX, which means it has excellent symmetry. The photos are off, not the diamond. If the diamond was as off-center as your graphic representation, it would have never received a GIA Excellent grade for symmetry. My advice is to relax and quit hyper-analyzing this diamond. You're buying this stone from a vendor that provides just the basics. If you want super-duper, nano-precise-cutting, you need to spend a bit more and go with one of the vendors that sells branded H&A stones with all the images.

Fair point, Lula. I'm afraid worrying is something I do well Peace of mind usually comes at a price. Anyway, I have asked for new photos. We'll see. Thanks for your soothing advice!

I'm glad you are going to get new pics!! I am hoping that you have found a fantastic stone (and the specs look great!) but I would also want to be sure I could be reassured w a face on pic that has everything fitting properly into the appropriate "circles". Please share when you get the new pics- we could all feel better when we see them I'm sure Charmypoo is right - its just a tilted stone in the pic, so that's why its showing off centre.

Now, inconveniently enough, they had got things mixed up, and had sent the stone to be mounted on the ring. Thus no more idealscope images (or other table down images, for that matter). I got this table up picture, though. Maybe not very informative, but here goes anyway.

But... and again, maybe its just me, but is there a soft gray area around the 9 - 11oclock area that looks as tho it is off centre? I realize its not the clearest of pics (can they send you a few more??) but my eye was drawn there. I'm sure its just my old eyes and a blurry pic - but can you just get a few more sent to you???

Very, very pretty! No symmetry issues that I can see. It looks perfectly round, white, and brilliant! You did well. Are you proposing soon? I'm assuming this ring is for a proposal -- correct me if I'm wrong.

The ring looks like it's tilted just a bit in the ring box. It's an optical illusion because of the tilt.
