I think the cut precision looks good. Likely a good choice for a pendant/earring. With shallower combos like these the arrows will likely stay dark up close when worn in a ring.

It a nice 60/60 combo that will be fine in a ring or other use.
Need a spin video that we can control the spin to check crystal quality.
The lighting in the photo is absolutely awful.

In general a 40.6 pavilion that is reasonably tight the arrow shafts are ok in a ring.
The arrows are the pavilion mains where the pavilion angle is measured.

Thanks @Karl_K! How low can the crown go for a 40.6 pavilion for the arrow shafts to be still ok in a ring? I have compared a reasonably tight 33/40.8 with a 34.3/40.7, and the arrow shafts on the 33/40.8 go dark up close faster than the 34.3/40.7. I personally would not pick the 33/40.8 over the 34.3/40.7 for a ring.

What’s your preferred light play in diamond TL? This one will favour brightness over fire, and splintery flashes versus bolder flashes.

I prefer a higher crown, smaller table, and shorter lower halves (far arrows) personally.

This one has some pretty significant graining. I think you can do better than both of these in material quality.

Does HPHT have this graining? What if it’s faint blue?

Oh and here’s the pavilllion of the last diamond I posted. Do you see any fuzzing or graining? It’s a VS2. I see so many CVD’s graded by IGI in the colorless and near colorless range that have a visible brownish tint. This one doesn’t to my eyes, but again, I’m clueless.

Does HPHT have this graining? What if it’s faint blue?

HPHT stones don’t have this type of graining. IGI typically notes faint blue for HPHT G/H/I color stones with blue tint. In my experience IGI doesn’t note faint blue for E/F color stones with blue tint.

It easiest to spot CVD graining in videos and lighting that highlights fire. Even VVS graded stones can have CVD graining/stria.
