This has also been posted in colored stones; the original thread can be found here.

The rubelite is a 2.16ct princess cut and was cut by Ben Kho. I purchased this stone a couple of years ago from ACS back when Barbara was running it. The ring is 18k yellow gold. The flowers/leaves bit is matte finish and the rest is polished. I saw this ring at Intergem set with an oval green tourmaline and I asked them to make one for me to fit my square rubelite. I think it came out really well.

The shank design is so romantic, and the YG complements the stone so perfectly...

That is so pretty! Love the brushed finish on the flowers/leaves, the delicate details of the setting and the beautiful color of the rubelite. Enjoy!

That is really pretty! I really love the color of the stone with the brushed gold and the little bit of diamond in there to top it off.
Great ring!

I love the delicate nature of the setting, beautiful colored stone!

Thank you all for your lovely comments; it''s definitely a lovely and showy piece. Andrew Sarosi does amazingly fine and delicate gold work.

SDL: you could have one too. This is one of their stock settings (mostly). The only things they really changed from the piece I saw in person were the prongs. The original had, I don''t know what you''d call it, a bezel of prongs?

That is absolutely beautiful!

I absolutely LOVE the shank on that! Spectacular and very very different.
