I''m getting excited and axious, only 23 more days to go---

But now I really need some help- I have narrowed my search down to two diamonds- here they are

Round Cut- GIA Round Cut-No cert.
.81 carat .79

My biggest concern is the cut which I know nothing about,so that is probably why I am concerned about it. Let me know what you think, which one you would go with,-I will be buying on monday or tuesday.
 
don't have enough numbers to tell you about cut. how about crown angles, pavillion angles?

the 0.81 is way too deep and the 0.79 doesn't have a cert...

try to get some pictures of the stones or some more information.

The .81 carat is a deep cut. It's carrying weight in the pavillion that no one will see and you are paying for. A well cut .8 carat diamond will be close to 6mm in diameter. Doesn't sound like a big difference, but it visibly is.

Are these diamonds from a local source? Have you seen them live and in person?

I would definitely want to see the .79 carat or have the Vendor look it well to see if it truly is eye clean. There are eye clean SI2's out there, just be sure this is one.

The .79 carat falls into the 60/60 (60% table/60% depth)category and. Some are duds and some are real sparklers.
