Hello,
I’ve posted here previously under a different name but cannot gain access to my account. Last year I upgraded the diamond from my ring with a CBI from HPD with the help of Melissa. I went from a 0.60 I SI1 to 0.64 E VS1.
My diamond was then eventually set into my old engagement setting which was a platinum setting with pave down the sides with a plain platinum wedding band.
For the past few years I’ve been obsessed with the plain solitaire with thin diamond band look which, was essentially the opposite to what I had!
My plain 2mm platinum wedding band is very sentimental to me and something I cannot part with sooo a few months ago I came up with the idea of resetting my diamond into a plain solitaire with my wedding band to be used as the shank!
I reached out to Coe’s Bespoke Jewellers on Instagram and discussed my idea with Craig who was on board with taking on the task of repurposing my wedding ring into a solitaire ring.
I received my ring last week and I absolutely adore it! To me this is my perfect ring and my husband who has no interest in jewellery loved it to! He was actually amazed at how seamlessly my wedding ring turned into my solitaire ring. I still have the diamonds from my original pave setting and hopefully will be working with Craig to make a thin diamond band in the future!
A special thank you to Craig for being prompt with his responses to my many questions and for actually providing me with exactly what I envisioned. I was nervous about the prongs turning out to be thick but they are slim and pointed at the tips exactly how I asked for
Thank you CBI and Coe’s Bespoke Jewellers!
pictures to follow... my ring size is G1/2 which is 3.75.
