Thank you for your opinion. I bought it for $30, and the previous owner also didnt know what it was.
I thought it was brass also, and still do. But I showed it to a gold buyer and they offered me the 8k goldprice which was around $14 for a gram. It weights around 6 grams so Im a happy camper
It is very likely a reproduction of a Seljuk-era Iranian ring. They are made to look old as @stracci2000 says. Often these are made by Afghan refugee smiths located in Pakistan and sold throughout the middle east.
