Dear folks!

I found a great ring wich I think is antique. What is your opnion about it? Does anyone know the age, and the origin?

Dear regards!CFADAE81-B086-4CEB-AB50-518214331C6E.jpeg4123AF9D-8F5B-4358-A00F-897B35146632.jpegEE084451-981C-42ED-90BC-258F9EF8FB87.jpeg40019FD0-E454-44D6-8DB6-0F667FF3A2E9.jpeg1C54EA8E-06E7-4571-8F1F-0220AB1132CF.jpegC6BA3FB4-F6E2-4BB1-97A4-942EEF3B553E.jpegCCD432AC-AE83-4019-A328-FDD29C7B4744.jpeg

This is interesting.
First, it looks like the center stone has been replaced with a piece of striped glass.
There is some type of white cement holding it in. Badly done.

The metal looks like gold plate over brass. I say this because the stamping is not well done. The soldering is sloppy, too. A gold piece would show much better craftsmanship.
There appears to be a worn spot behind the presentation area that is showing another metal, indicating a plating process. The pink ring around the worn spot is copper, which is used to bond the gold to the brass.

It is probably a tourist piece, made to look old. Origin anywhere from Morocco to India. The ring may date to the late 19th century, but could be as recent as the 1970s. Hard to say!
But it is intriguing!

Thank you for your opinion. I bought it for $30, and the previous owner also didnt know what it was.

I thought it was brass also, and still do. But I showed it to a gold buyer and they offered me the 8k goldprice which was around $14 for a gram. It weights around 6 grams so Im a happy camper
