LOL. Don't show Todrick that one! This girl has a pretty straightforward acoustic version but I bet it could be folk-ed up even more. Or urbanized. Or gospelized. Its a versatile song. This one is kinda interesting too. Dude. And here is kinda blusey piano. I think it just shows that its not rocket science to rework these songs. How come so many of them just, um, don't.

We DVR''d the guys last night, and I''m watching it right now. I''m officially in love with Casey. Seriously. I felt the same way about Kris Allen last year. I also love Mike, and honestly, I think in the end it will be Crystal vs. Mike. I hope Casey makes it to the end, but Mike''s just soooooo good, that I kind of have to go with him as the winner (at least as far as the guys go).
Aaron Kelly is adorable, but his voice sounds wavery -- like he''s nervous or something. He''s young too, so maybe that''s part of it.

I was sorry to see Todrick go - he was good and enjoyable to watch because he looked like he was having fun. I hope he makes it on Broadway because I think he would be awesome.
Didn''t care much about Katelyn - good voice, but I got bored of her.
I felt so bad for Alex! He seemed like such a shy, introverted kid but so sweet, and even though I didn''t like his voice, I still felt so sad for him when he realized he was going home. I hope he doesn''t blame himself for not being more outgoing... he looked like he thought it was his own fault. I was so sad when he was crying.

I wanted Katie to stay but I just assumed that Lily would be staying instead. I'm happy it ended the way it did but I was surprised. I totally don't get why Paige is still around. I know that Simon said that she had more potential than Katelyn, but I think Katelyn's voice is so much better than Paige's.
As for the guys, I kind of wish that the guy with the tattoo on his neck was sent home. I'm glad that Todrick got the boot though because he seemed cocky and I didn't like that.

I really think VFTW had something to do with this. They were asking people to vote for Paige and Tim Urban. I think that website is hilarious but it is a little sad that people like Katelyn and Lilly get kicked off when they''re clearly more talented vocally. I really liked that Alex Lambert''s voice too. And he definitely got bonus points from me for singing a Ray LaMontagne song!

Oh I don''t watch the show that much so I don''t actually remember which girl they are friends with but they basically just combined her name with word zombies and that''s what they''re calling themselves, like superfans... I think they look dumb to be honest. It''s nice that they''re supporting her but zombies?

I''m so happy that Lee won! I actually cried when Ryan announced that he was the winner. I LOVE Crystal too though, and I know that she''ll do very well. Doesn''t she get a recording contract too, since she''s the runner up?
This was such a fun season to watch. I had thought that Crystal, Mike, and Casey would be in the top 3, and I was really surprised when Lee beat Casey out for 3rd place.
The one thing that I really loved this season was how everyone seemed very gracious. There weren''t any attitudes, and the contestants seemed honestly grateful just to be there and have that opportunity.

although i love Crystal, i had a feeling Lee would win it. it was a pretty good finale show IMHO. call me old school, but seeing Hall & Oats and Chicago were definite highlights! i'm also really sad to see Simon go. love him or hate him, i feel he's the only one out of all the judges that can give it to the contestants straight. it'll be interesting to see how it goes next year.

I''m so happy Lee won! I''ve been rooting for him since Week 2 I think and I''m happy he made it. During auditions I totally thought the people to beat were Andrew, Mike and Casey. Funny how that turned out! And I really love Lee''s version of Hallelujah, and I wish he had chosen that song to perform first on Tuesday night.

My husband thinks it''s weird that Lee''s first single will be "Beautiful Day." As he put it, the song''s too current and done REALLY well by U2, and how could you try to top Bono? I like it but I do kind of see what he means. I thought, for some reason, that the first single was an original, written by someone connected to AI in some way. Apparently I''m wrong.
Who was the guy singing the song they always play when someone leaves the show? He looked familiar. Is he in a band or something or does he have songs of his own out there that I''d know? I really like that one! Confession though -- I thought the chorus sounded like Tracy Chapman''s voice. I was a little surprised to find out that it''s a guy''s.
