I am searching for the perfect setting for a 2ct princess.

I want it simple but not plain.
I want it modern but not weird.
I want it elegant but trendy.
I want it to have straight lines, yet have nice flow.
I want the stone to sit high, but not to the point of being clunky.
I want diamonds in the band, but I've seen few pave that I really like.

I've looked through hundreds of pages of threads, and tons of websites and I just can't picture the perfect ring in my head. Should I just keep searching?

Looking at setting after setting might not set off that lightbulb in your head. Why don't you think about doing a custom design, go with someone like Mark Morrel or Leon Mege. Greenlake is also highly regarded on this site.

I especially like the conversations I had with Mark Morrell. Simply tell him what you want and he will design something for you.

The Lucida setting was pretty much designed for your specs. Except for the last.

If you can manage to picture it in your head, have you thought about going custom? Also, what are some of the settings that have some of the elements you are looking for? Maybe we can help find you something close.

Yeah what she described did sound a lot like that. OP have you checked that out yet?

I have absolutely thought about going custom. I''d actually prefer to go custom so I get something original and exactly what I want. My fear is that I give the designer my ideas, and he makes it, then I realize what I thought I wanted is ugly! lol.

. I have looked at the Lucida, and it seems to hide the diamonds. I also want a setting that really showcases the diamond. It''s a little simple for me too.

I think the WF Legato setting would fit most of that:

And I think they could put a princess head on the Harmony as well:

Here''s is LynnB''s set, just picture with a princess head:

These fit the bill.

eta: you can add diamonds to any of his bands.

That''s what I''d get if I was getting a large princess! I believe it''s the same as Snooper''s beauty.

I don't like the wideness on either side of the center stone in the leon rings.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that I really want a matching band. I find that non-matching erings & bands look really odd.

Wow! I like A LOT of things about that ring set! Thank-you! I''m gonna go over that thread some more now.

You want a matching band? Does she? What does she prefer.

And with all these examples that pricescoper's have given you.

YES you ARE too PICKY

Oh, good! Lynn's set is gorgeous and WF custom made it for her, so they can certainly put the square Legato head on one for you! And I agree that it is much easier when you can find a ring with matching wedding band.

I'm wondering how a square center stone would look with the round diamonds in the band.
