Hi Members of Pricescope,

Similar to many men here, I am looking for an engagement ring and due to not knowing much about diamonds or jewelry I've studied as much as possible. Before making this purchase, can you tell me if the stone is worth buying?

After confirming that the images are solid with you guys, I'm close to pulling the trigger. However, I found a few other stones that look good by the numbers. They are not JA's true hearts, but their cuts are graded excellent and their HCA scores are lower. The one in the original post is a 1.6.

Is there any reason I should reconsider buying the True Hearts and opt for the following? There are no idealscopes available but the HCA scores are a bit lower (the lowest is a .7) and they look good on the eye on first glance.

Also, I've been calling around for a platinum Tiffany-inspired 6 prong solitaire. They seem to go for about ~$900 (NYC). Is this the norm?

All of those diamonds will be great and that price for a setting is great I paid $1800 for a custom copy similar to the setting.

There is no such thing as a lower HCA score. Anything over a 2 should be considered for the price or only with confirmation of an idealscope. A stone earning an HCA score of 2 or below are worth investigating further.

If there isn't a large price difference between the true hearts and regular inventory, I would go with the true hearts.
