Am I getting a good price? Need help!

This diamond maker uses a unique emerald diamond cut. Its custom made. For a ring size 5 and1/2. 9mm width eternity band in platinum. Approx 8 kt. total weight. All diamonds E/F-VS1. Was quoted $26,999 originally. Told them I think they could do better. Told best price $24,999. Am I overpaying if I buy. Thinking about countering with $25,000 out the door (they would pay sales tax approx. $2000). All help would be apprecited. Thanks
