Welcome!

This diamond looks very promising, it would be useful to have an Idealscope image to confirm the numbers if one is available. As to the '' clouds not shown'' comment, this is a very common remark and nothing to worry about. It means that the clouds are not an issue and are only mentioned for the sake of completeness. To map them on the plotting diagram of a grading report would make it look messy and offputting, so as they don''t have any bearing on how the diamond looks, they are just noted.

Hi Lorelei,

Thanks for your post. I will try ask my vendor about it. I doubt if there is one available, how important is it? Sorry for the blonde question. Thanks.

I'm not Lorelei, but as to your question (which is a good one), it's not imperative to have, it just helps give a better picture of how the stone will/may perform. But if you can't get one, I too think this one looks promising, and worth taking a look at anyway.

They are both well cut with not much difference in the proportions, and personally I would never pay out for VVS clarity as it is overkill to me anyway, so my choice would be the F VS2.

Thanks a lot for the advise. Will keep that in mind. :) Cheers.

the images are from DiamCalc via the stone being scanned to make a 3D file.

Seems to me you might be able to go down a bit in color and clarity and save a lot of $$. $9k to $12k for that size is a bit pricey. You could get a well cut G or H and save some funds. Or keep the same budget and get a larger stone. Have you considered this?

New stone at WF http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-584867.htm# 1.213 ct H VS2 A Cut Above H&A

This is what I would do if it was me, but I think the OP prefers an F colour, even though a G or H would still look very white.

Good suggestion though.

Also I thought I would throw this stunner into the mix for 8500 H&A F VS2 from GOG.

Ah, then definitely look at the one Lorelei just posted. Awesome stone, F color, great price for an F/VS2.

I have an F/VS2 H&A ACA from WF, but my next upgrade will likely be a H, I, J! I''m getting brave seeing all the wonderful white stones on PS.

I think that would be well worth considering, gotta love the upgrade option!!!

Hi,

I agree the 1 carat F Vs2 is a very nice cut, and you will not see the benefit of VVS2.

Kind Regards

Paul

Thanks a lot people. That is really helpful. Anyways seems like the search continues. Was too late for both diamonds. :) Yea prefer a F diamond :) Actually prefer a vendor in Australia.

Whereabouts are you in Australia?
