Alternative Unity Candle

So my best friend is getting married and really has her eye on this http://www.etsy.com/listing/49156000/blended-family-salt-covenant-unity. However it's a little out of budget for her and I was wondering if anyone had seen anything similar in their wedding planning. I offered to get it as a wedding present but she's stubborn and said no so that idea is out! Thanks so much for your help in advance!

I haven't seen anything like that (very neat though!), but I think that's something that could be pretty easy to DIY. It wouldn't have the same egg-shaped vessel, necessarily, but I think any pretty cup or bowl could work just fine. Little bags could be made and tagged with materials from a craft store.

Like PP, I haven't seen anything like that before, but it should be a pretty easy DIY.

Just get a couple pouches and a pretty covered ceramic bowl (or something pretty that could hold the salt from the craft store) and wala!!
