The cut is ok, a 60/60 type stone which is a look some people love. Different appearance than a traditional ideal cut though.

The highlighted is one of the danger signs in a cert that means you need to have the diamond checked by a qualified gemologist or appraiser to make sure that the clouds and not affecting the diamond''s optics negatively. From the sounds of it, you are buying from a chain B&M. In that case, me personally, I would not take the chance on an SI1 stones with this particular comment.

Also note that in general, the extended policies are not worth the paper they are printed on. Better to simply buy the ring and get your own insurance, which you can either get as a stand alone policy or as a rider on your home owners insurance. It costs less and will actually pay out in the event of a loss

HI:

Which lab graded the stone?

cheers--Sharon

ditto dreamer, with that comment I''d have it off to an appraiser pronto.

it doesn''t mean that there is a problem, but there could be and better safe than sorry.

Good question. I missed that omission.

I believe I answered your other thread on this diamond, can we keep it to one thread please so you have all your info in one place, it gets confusing with two threads on the same query, thanks!

Yes the clarity comment absolutely needs careful evaluation with the grade setting clouds, make any sale final on it checking out with an independant appraisal, particularly that the clouds don''t negatively interfere with performance.

Thanks for the great comments. I will have it checked any idea on a good gemologist in the wets palm Florida area?

You are right about the B&M I was attracted to the zero percent financing for a year.

Also can''t there something to be said for being able to bring it in for lifetime to have it polished, cleaned, checked, and rhodiumed (sp) the warranty is supposed to cover damag to stone or replace if stone falls out. I read it last night and it is pretty clear, the price of the warranty is free, built in to the overall I''m sure.

I looked at it under a scope that was magnified and put on a screen and man did it look clean. The optics though I can''t speak to as I am not an expert. It did sparkle though.

On the cut I ran the numbers in the hca cut tool and it was within the tic range (under two)
it was one if the best cuts I could get in my budget.

I AM ALL EARS I HAVE THIRTY DAYS TO RETURN. PLEASE RESPOND AND LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS. I RESPECT YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

THANKS!!!

The price you are paying is fair but on the higher side for a non H&A stone of these specs. So tha warranty is not "free"

As to the rest, to assess whether the clouds are engatively affecting the diamond you need an *expert* to help you out. There are HORROR stories on PS of people who bought diamonds with that notation only to get them home and discover that the diamond goes cloudy or hazy in certain lighting. This is why you need an expert to assess the diamond and give it the all clear.

The cut is fine and if you like the diamond and are happy with the price etc., then great! But get the clouds ssue checked asap.

Thanks Dreamer I will have it checked for sure.

You are welcome! Most likely the diamond will be fine, but better safe than sorry!
