I personally don''t care for the orange/green combo. It reminds me of Thanksgiving, Halloween or the Irish flag. All seem very awkward for a tropical wedding in Mexico.

I think aqua/green/blue is a more flattering and harmonious combination (it''s analogous so it works.) I also liked the orange/blue combo posted - orange and blue are complimentary colors, so they work well together, too.

Another one you could consider would be pink, orange and aqua, if you wanted a thir color for the orange-blue combination. They look very festive and tropical.

Someone mentioned the blue matching the water - I wouldn''t even worry about that. The places you were looking to use blue in the blue-green-yellow board all make the color stand out (like the ties have the suits to separate them visually.) And the blue for the bridesmaid gowns in the blue-orange board is a dark enough blue it won''t blend, either.

I like both but can I interject here?

I happen to love aqua blue, apple green, brown and ivory. It makes me think of water, mountains, earth, greenery and sand. Orange and yellow are nice too but I think those colors rock together for an outdoor event!
ditto
I happen to have a preference for those colors as well since they were my wedding colors! Check out my wedding pics thread if you'd like to see pictures of those colors together.

ETA: Of the ones you posted, I like the second one more; however I really love the blue and orange combo someone just posted- it pops!

Haha OK so the blue is growing on me.

A lot.

Maybe a few different shades of blue? I think what I immediately didn''t like was the paleness of green/yellow against the deep blue.

And since I read the comment about Halloween, I just see the green/orange items and think that. Haha, the power of influence...

I love them both too, but i am going with option #2 for the beautiful blue/aqua color...so pretty!

the orange and green. The blue and yellow is nice too, I just think that orange is a richer color than yellow and I like the depth that it adds. Though really, you can''t go wrong either way.

Hi diamondfan!

I do like aqua blue, apple green, brown and ivory but these were my friend''s colours (minus the blue) who got married this summer.

So, does she own the rights?! If you like them, add in blue and maybe some touches of gold. I am doing my son''s bar mitzvah in those colors in two weeks, except the ivory will be white. (I am bringing in lots of white furniture for one area, with, brown, apple and aqua pillows, and then brown sofas for the cocktail area with apple green and white pillows.) You should use what you like.

CDN, I love all your options. The colours are vibrant and perfect for a tropical wedding. I think my vote''s going to be for green, orange and yellow. Like you though, I think either combination would be beautiful. But then again, I''m a bit biased as I''m considering some combination of yellow, orange, blue and fuschia for my own wedding. Let us know what you decide.

What about blue with yellow and orange? Still very "Mexican tile"-esque and I think it would go really well.

I love all of the colors, but feel one needs to be an anchor color, darker and deeper. Maybe you do terracotta instead or a bright orange...I just think three brights can be tough.

I also love red, magenta and orange, and the red takes a deep jewel tone to it, like hibiscus or tropical flowers.

Here's something similar. It's magenta, orange and green with chocolate brown as the anchor color. I'm not normally one for really bright colors, but I loved this combination.

Thanks for the link, sap483. The colours look great. I never considered that combo.

BTW, I loved the hair style of the bride in the link you posted! I'm going to add it to my inspiration folder. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for all your comments! I'm going to email my wedding coordinator in Mexico and confirm what I have to work with before I start making any final decisions on bridesmaid dresses, etc...

I have to agree with Karma. I like the first option because it doesn''t compete with the water, sky etc. I have a feeling your photos will turn out better with the first colour scheme.
