colours makes me feel I need to make a decision on ours. FI doesn''t have an opinion either way and I keep going back and forth between the two options. I would like to hear your thoughts. We''re having a DW in Mexico with an outdoor ceremony and reception.

Option 1: Green, Orange, and Yellow

Option 2: Blue, Green, and Yellow

Ummm I like both...

But I might have a preference for the blue because it makes me think of the water, since you''ll be in Mexico.

even though i LOVE orange green and yellow.. its my company colors. so i am going to have to go with blue green and yellow :)

I like the blue, yellow & green better also.

Better shoe choices there, too!!

im going against the group! i absolutely love that orange with the yellow and green. While the blue reminds some of the water, the orange reminds me of the landscape of mexico :)

I also love the blue, green, and yellow! So sunny and festive.

I like both but can I interject here?

I happen to love aqua blue, apple green, brown and ivory. It makes me think of water, mountains, earth, greenery and sand. Orange and yellow are nice too but I think those colors rock together for an outdoor event!

I vote for green, orange and yellow!

DEFINITELY GREEN, ORANGE and YELLOW!!!

The colors are warmer and you can get so much depth out of the different shades of orange, especially in your bridal bouquet. I''m always seeing the most exotic, beautiful flowers in shades of orange/yellow

IMHO, the second color scheme lacks a cohesive bond and the green tends to work against the dominant blue and yellow. I would also worry about the difficulty of matching blues across the entire wedding (shoes, cake, stationary, clothing, etc)

Just my two cents :)

I have to vote for the Green, Orange and Yellow combo.... definitely biased b/c we are leaning towards a Green/Orange/Ivory combo for our Oct. 2009 wedding

Option 2--it reminds me of mexican tiles--vivid blues with sunny yellows interspersed...

I would change it to the orange with the blue

I love option #1! To me the tones are more earthy but still pack a lot of punch!

Question for ya. This is the second post I''ve seen with wedding colors in that neat little format...where did you find it?

idreamofcushions,

I put my collage together with gimp. Open source Photoshop like program.

But you can use any photo mosaic maker. This one uses flickr to access the photos. but you can''t rearrange the photos.

Flickr also has a mosaic maker but it''s not as easy to use as the BHL one.

Polyvore allows you to grab some pictures from websites and create a collage.

Also Kuler is great for making "paint swatches" of a color scheme.

Hope this helps!

I like option two better. I don''t know why I just like the way those colors look together.

Yes! I was trying to think of why I liked the second option better, and Freke hit it on the nose.

I vote for option 1 - I think the green/yellow/orange tie together much better and is MUCH more vibrant for a tropical setting. I love the blues but I think all together the orange packs a lot more sunny punch in than the blue. The blue option reminds me more of a garden wedding instead of tropical.

Oh gosh, I really love them both. I''m with the blue team though for the same reason - it reminds me of the crystal blue water down there.

Typically, I would''ve said option 2 (even though I really like option 1, but i''m well, partial to blue myself). However, if you''re getting married near the water, then you dont want it to merge with your colours - you want your colours to stand out...hence, option 1.

Aack! You guys have me more confused then before!

Hi diamondfan!

I do like aqua blue, apple green, brown and ivory but these were my friend''s colours (minus the blue) who got married this summer.

I copied and pasted all the jpg files I''d saved onto a MS Word document. I then did a print screen, copied into Paint, cropped the photo, and saved it into one jpg. Hope this helps!

I actually considered an orange blue combo. Would you just have two colours or have a third accent?

That''s the only thing FI said about the colours; that the blue might blend in too much with the background.

MMM I really like the blue and orange!! Seems like you like the blue a lot and are leaning toward incorporating it. I say go with just the blue and orange as they are very vibrant and opposite colors. But for a lighter and brighter tone, I still say the green/yellow/orange - very sunny feeling. But the blue/orange would also be spectacular down there! So I say options 1 or 3!
