Here are the options for best look (both looks will cost about the same...)

I would NOT make a decison without seeing combo 1in person but assuming the shoulders clear the ring that''s DEFINITELY what I would choose - and there are two reasons - well three - one is it is much more interesting (less matchy), one is those shoulders pop, but the 3rd reason is I really like that eternity band because it''s like a trinity - the row of diamonds doesn''t *have* to be on top - you could have the scroll work *flanked* by two rows of diamonds instead... kwim? adds even more variety. That said, I do like the matched set as well and I would base the decision mostly on your personality - variety or matched set?

2, chek first if there is a rubbing issue.

#2, I like the thinner wedding band with a very thick e-ring band.

NUMBER TWOOOOOOOO!!!! And I''m not even a "matchy matchy" gal ... but the change of diameter is enough for me to LOVE set #2 ...

Set #1 is too confusing to my eye and too bulbous looking ... too busy.

ADORE #2 .. interesting because of the squareness, the difference of widths of the rings, and the intricate patterning. All that is PLENTY to look at !

#2 gets my vote!!!

Combo #2. I actually love the band from #1, but don''t like it with the square shoulder e-ring.

LOL... you BETTER get #2 now or you''ll be in big trouble around here.

Hey, now, better watch it, boy, or I''ll bring this fashion back!

2 :)

Absolutely number 2/

While I am not a fan of matchy stuff usually, I like the proportions and I like things that at least blend together. Number one is too bulky and looks like two things just stuck near one another and I am not in favor of that look...

Do I even have to say it now?

2!!

Hi crowmama,

Coincidentally, I saw these on ebay very recently and the auctions are not over yet:

I don''t know if the pricing is competitive but thought you might want to check them out.

Thanks for checking these out for me! Actually, these two auctions are what started the whole ball rolling -- the semi mount is about 1/3 retail, and the eternity band 1/2 retail. I''ve made an offer on the semi mount (rejected) and am waiting have my question answered about showing the hallmark to prove it''s a plat ring. From what a few Alishan dealers told me yesterday, plat rings are a custom request -- most rings are 18k.

I''m visiting a local dealer who has several designs in stock to check out issues expressed by myself and others on the forum in previous posts.

Of course I will report back after recon...

You''re welcome. I didn''t realize that you''d found the auctions yourself! Oops. Anyway, when I saw the heading of this thread, I remembered that I''d seen the manufacturer''s name on ebay recently when I was doing some cyber window-shopping and thought that the mountings were usual and beautiful.

I purchased a small platinum band with diamonds from this vendor recently and am very pleased with it.

And, by the way, I vote for #2. It''s much more elegant.

Good luck on your decision.

I prefer No.2. To me No.1 looks like it is parts of two different sets, I know it is not just how I see it.

I would like to see the engagement ring with the very open shoulders too along with wedding band from no.1.

Definitely 2
