I noticed this on Facebook and wanted to share it here.

This Saturday, an all-day event at Butterfield Jewelers in Albuquerque NM.

https://www.butterfieldjewelers.com/

See incredible CBI diamonds and meet Pricescope poster @John Pollard

I have been to these events before. They are fun and extremely educational. See and use an ASET scope. Not only will you see absolutely amazing diamonds and gemstones, you will have a lot of fun. If anyone is close to Albuquerque and plans to attend this Saturday’s Crafted by Infinity event I’d love to get your feedback and see photos from the event. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

If I were there I’d insist everyone go out for margaritas and blue corn stack enchiladas afterward! (I think that’s the regional dish there?). How fun!

Thanks for the headsup, @cflutist :)

Wrong side of a large pond for me :P but I do want to get to one of the Meet The Cutter events at some point!

Does one need to make contact to be invited? We did get some paperwork about it when I bought the good lady's CBI stone but I've never followed it up (and am not sure we should attend when we have zero chance or ability to afford anything for at least several years :( ).

Good morning from me and good afternoon to you, Shiny. That pond can make it difficult to properly greet each other.;)2

When you are going to be in the area of a Meet the Cutter, it is always advisable to extend the jeweler the courtesy of an email or a phone call to make sure they are properly prepared for the right number of people. The one I attended at Green Lake Jewelers in Seattle last fall had a limit on the number of people they could accommodate. And yes, Shiny, you should attend when you get the chance. Paul will relish seeing your diamond again and meeting both you and the happy lady who wears it. There will also be a "better than average chance," that her ring will be whisked away for a quick prong check, polish and cleaning. You will learn even more about what makes diamonds tick and have a great time too.

This event in Albuquerque is an all day event, so drop ins will be welcomed. The opportunity to meet John Pollard and speak with him is something that many here would absolutely treasure. I hope that some of you live in the area or are visiting the area and can spend some time with him.

Wink

Thank you for the reassurance, @Wink :)

At least Antwerp isn't that far away from our little island, a weekend away is entirely possible! (Although, that said, does the diamond district close on a Saturday??)

It is not everyday that one has 6 CBI diamonds on ones finger. That was fun.
