Now the website says nothing about going out of businwas.

I noticed that. Kind of a scam if they had a pretend sale.

I would agree that if they ran a false going-out-of-business "clearance" to drum up sales, it would be quite tacky. But, if I had to guess, my thought is perhaps they didn't sell as much of their remaining inventory as they thought they would, so they're keeping the website up for the foreseeable future. As others pointed out, it really wasn't a great sale anyway, as they had increased their list prices just prior to it.

That is illegal in most of the US. (I know they aren’t in the us)
