Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU everyone for your well wishes!!!! I''ve been taking the ring off when I go to work to see patients because I don''t want to get it banged up with all the gloves going on and off all the time. Since I live right next door to work, I come home often and put it back on while I''m working at home.

I told my fiance that now that I have the ring, I will definitely try the "oh we just got engaged" trick in Europe to see if we can get any hotel upgrades...hehe!

When I get back from my trip, I''ll use the DSLR from work to see if I can get some finer and more detailed pictures of the ring and do an SMTR thread.

This ring is a driving hazard. I can''t stop looking at it when I drive and I shouldn''t be taking my eyes off the road!

A little bit about us - we''ve been dating for 4.5 years (2 years in the same city, 2.5 years LDR). I''ll be moving back home this summer so it will be 3 years LDR total. I knew I wanted to marry him after 2 years, but it took him 2.5 years more while we were long distance to come around to the same conclusion. I''m 29 and he''s almost 29. It took a lot of patience for me to get our relationship to this stage so I understand what LIWs were going through really well. Thank you everyone for your support and keep posting those crazy stories and engagements because I love reading all of them!
