How reliable is the AIGS report for rubies?

AIGS appear to give pigeon blood grading easily. That is not the problem here. Ruby is nice colour.

The ruby is tested as heated. I attach a part of the report for viewing.




The AIGS website looks reliable but I am wondering if this is enough testing?

If I do buy this ruby, I will post details.

I dont know I would have paused over the heated and no LIBS testing bit. But not sure how essential that is for rubies. On the plus side AIGS is a reputable lab. I think they have online report checking (i.e. you can check the report number online)? If they do you should do that as I seem to remember arcadian posting a while baxk about fake AIGS reports (mmmm maybe this is correct, or maybe I am miss remembering).

Thank you. Good to know about the scandal.

LIBs for sapphires would be important. I have no idea about the reds. I will go look that up. An interesting point to learn about.
