Platinum & niobium (what the heck is niobium?) w/ rubelite tourmalines

I''m kind of disappointed in the best of show winner. I mean, yeah it''s pretty and all and the sapphire is huge but it doesn''t really stand out as anything special.

I''m also surprised the sapphire won the best of show. I preferred so many others over that ring. The matching pink asscher spinels are to die for. And some of the designs...yowza!
