One clarification Pyramid: The above is true if the diamonds were graded using the old AGS system. As you indicated, proportions outside certain ranges (table% for example) were disqualified automatically. This is no longer the case.Date: 4/8/2007 4:09:12 PM

On an ideal cut depth should be 59.9 - 63
table should be 53 - 57.5
so the first stone missed out a bit on both these.
I believe it's likely they were graded using the old system - so you'd still be correct, Pyramid.Date: 4/8/2007 4:48:28 PM

Oh yes Sir John I had forgotten about that.
In that case it could mean either system: AGS allowed manufacturers to continue having rounds graded using the old system until very recently (to give the industry time to adapt). Many switched to the new system right away but others did not.Date: 4/8/2007 4:52:29 PM

John, both were graded Oct. 2005.
Ok. Getting closer. Is the 1 in light performance, proportions factors or finish?Date: 4/8/2007 5:08:11 PM

It looks like both have the new DQD.
