The AGS is featured in "The Cutting Edge," a Podcast for consumers.Ruth Batson (AGS executive director) is featured in their January edition as spokesperson for AGS Labs, giving consumer tips on diamond buying.Noting that “most people know very little about diamonds,” she gives an overview of the Cs, emphasizing cut as most influential.The AGS laboratory, diamond grading reports, independent appraisers and reputable jewelers are touched-on. Memorable statement about pricing:“If it’s too good to be true – it’s too good to be true.”

4 minutes of advertising for AGS and AGSL. Some of it was worth the time, but most is "the company line". You can buy a diamond sight unseen with some caveats. Some deals are better than even I can imagine. It is just plain wrong to make people believe they cannot do what many Pricescopers have successfully accomplished without overspending.

AGS is a great organization for its members. AGSL is a great lab and a credit to the business. All that aside, doesn''t change the market facts that there are new ways to buy diamonds that just don''t seem as traditional as the mainstream would like them to remain. The tides are turning and things are changing. Those of us active here, are seeing this all take place.
