Hello Everyone,

I have reached the end of my quest..almost the end actually and now I am offically stumped. Now with the help of others, I have narrowed down to the last 5 stones and am perplexed as to which stone to pick as the Ideal Scope pictures are captured under different reflector devices. Is it possible to "normalize" them or is there another way to compare ''apple-to-apple''. Please help!!! It is sincerely appreciated.

They are all great and you cant really go wrong with any of them.
That said #4 is my favorite and #2 my least favorite of the group.

I am sorry for rephrasing this question as such..but is there a reason your favorite is #4.
How is #1 compared to #4 when comparing light leakage and whats wrong with # 2. Thanks a bunch!!!

Also, with the amount of info here, is one stone going to be more brillant or fiery.

The 35-40.8 combo is borderline steep/deep but the red scope image looks good so its not a big deal.

#4 is one of my favorite combos inclusing the star% and LGF% and its tight(the facet angles are close to one another).

The scope images for 1 and 4 arent directy comparable being different devices what you can do is compare against the ideal for each device and both are top line.

The slight amount of leakage in the right places is a good thing.
It gives the diamond contrast and the on/of scintillation where the diamonds with all red and black scope images have a different appearance and not as sharply on/off scintillation.
I like the sharp on/off look of the standard girdle treatment better.
ie: the ones with the white dots and some white around the edges in the red scope images.

Thank you strmrdr!! I appreciate your expertise. I called up another vendor who did not have an IdealScope pic posted on their website. They just send it to me and I was hoping you or anyone else could match'em with the previous shots and tell me if this is better or the previous pick is still the best. Thank you in advance.
Also, should I shy away from BlueNile since I don't have access to any of the extra info.

The new pick is:
Branded Elite Selection Ideal Cut, H&A, HCA 1.3 to 1.5 (OGI Megascope value variations)
1.075,D,VS2,
Depth:60.8%,
Table:55%,(OGI Megascope 54.3)
Crown Angle:34.8,(OGI Megascope 35.0)Crown%:15.5,
Pavilion Angle:40.8, Pavilion %:43,
Girdle:1.1-3.9, Pol&Symm:IDEAL, Culet:PT, Flouro:None,
Measurements:6.64-6.66x4.04

#2 seems to show partial leakage under the table, seems misshapen
#3 seems unsymmetrical
#5 is the most expensive

left with 1 and 4, you can see that the specks of white are even in 4, while they aren't in 1. while #1 has parallel specks, so that's still great. I think it came down to minor facets when picking 4 (for strmrdr)

diamond ideals was banned from here for having an employee pretend to be a consumer.
I wouldnt buy from them if they were the last place on earth to buy diamonds.
so no comment on the diamond.
