After being at home all this time, what changes have you noticed about yourself?

I worked from home a couple of days a week pre-lockdown and will likely make that 3 days now that we can go back into the office.
The dogs much prefer it and it makes weekdays really easy. It’s also a bit easier to finish my workday instead of keeping on working when my husband comes in and my dogs bug me for dinner. In the office I tend to lose track of time.
I have really enjoyed having more time to cook meals but I am also now so not missing having to cook every night! Yay for takeaways but I will have fewer of them.
Although I do work in one of our main offices, everyone I directly work with is in other cities so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to schlep into the office every day when I have a good set up here. I’m quite the introvert too so it’s been fine having to be home though I did realise this last weekend that I hadn’t actually had a proper day alone not talking to anyone for weeks.. so took a mental health day on Tuesday which was great! So overall, I’ve had a lucky time of it. It’s still been hard because work has just been super busy and of course now we’re adjusting to a huge loss of revenue and what that means.

don't hoard, shop normally, stay home, safe lives, be kind

Lol this cracked me up! I remember wanting two packs of mince to make extra taco mince mix. This was in the middle of the crisis where everyone was pretty much going nuts. We were allowed a limit of two packs so it was all within the rules.

Then I remember ScoMo yelling at us that it was UnAustralian to hoard so I only took one pack. Figure I didn't need to freeze extra taco mince and leave it for someone else!

Hubby teases me that my favorite tagline is "Gladys says......"

Gladys is our Premier

I find her very comforting! I do what Gladys tells me

I do jaywalk though! But I swear there are absolutely no cars when I do it!!!!

i think with regard to st Jisinta, we
are living in such uncertain and downright scary times, and i felt such anxiety it was just eaiser to do what she said - i mean im now sure she is a perfectly nice person (but im still voting her out)

its funny abour the taco mince because we also got told only buy what you need but also buy what you touch
i ended up coming home with 2 packets of 1kg bacon, one peiced better than the other because i felt quilty about putting the 1st pack back after id picked it up

apart from flour our neighbourhod 4 square i don't think put limits on anything - maybe loo paper right at the start of the madness but im not actually sure if they ever actually did or not ?
i asked was it ok to buy 2 bottles of milk? and the she said just buy whatever we need
but countdown (woolworths) still have limits on frozen veg here

I've become ridiculously weepy when seeing, or reading about, acts of kindness. There's probably some deeply buried psychological issue for which I'm over compensating :))
that does it for me too

but today i was watching the final season of Schitts creek and they showed a teeny tiny bit of NYC and i started crying thinking about all the people that live there

Great question!

Changes I've noticed about myself related to COVID self-isolation:

Going well:
- We have found a revised family routine that is working (took awhile to find the right balance with the kids home all day and trying to work from home, yikes)
- I found I actually like working from home (so far!), initially I thought I would not prefer it. I plan to continue working from home after COVID.
- I still exercise daily, and my weight is stable. I like using my mini-stepper and taking walks outside.
- I'm an introvert and homebody, so I actually like being home !

Not going so well:
- I feel more stressed and tired than I did pre-COVID. I think it relates to feeling I need to 'manage' things all day... between work, the kids being home 24/7, taking care of domestic stuff, etc I feel like I'm "on" from the time I get up to the time I go to bed. Can be exhausting... it also impacts how much energy I have to spend on interpersonal relationships (which wasn't much to begin with, lol)
- I miss the pleasure of shopping worry-free at my local shops... not only are many of them still closed, but shopping at the ones I can enter is no longer a pleasant experience. Lining up to get in, trying to stay away from others, and not touch anything is a downer... so I try to avoid shopping as much as possible. If I do have to go in, I try to buy what I need and get out as quick as I can.
- Although I like working from home, like some others, I am starting to fantasize A LOT about retirement, lol

That's all I can think of right now. Always interesting to read about others' experiences.
