After 15+ hours researching Pricescope - I'm more lost

I've been researching this incredible forum for several months - and I'm finally ready. Your expertise, experiences, successes and failures have all been filed in my head . I've shopped in some local stores and came up with a setting I know the girl I've been dating since we were 14 will love. As I'm about to graduate from college - I don't have an unlimited budget and you've all trained me to be wise, so I know not to pay for designer diamonds.

The problem - the settings that I think are perfect are from Hearts on Fire. I've scoured what feels like a million sites for similar settings - and I think I'm numb.

I've tried to attach screenshots. The Euphoria setting is beautiful looking down at ii, although I'd like the square edges to be slightly rounded. I'd prefer a round stone - not a cushion. The Acclaim setting was a amazing from a side view - just a bit blingier. I really just don't want to pay $4-5000 for a setting - I'd like to be all in for around $8000.

Does anyone have ideas for me? I truly don't know where to turn - and shouldn't have waited so long to start this process. Thank you for any ideas on where I can find a similar setting - or can I reasonably have one custom made (I recall Gypsy stating micro pave designs can be difficult).

I can help you find a lovely ring like that.

Here's my favorite setting of that type that is affordable and high quality (matches HoF quality).

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/engagement-rings/pave-and-side-stones/the-anita-halo-platinum-5950p The Anita Halo is gorgeous. And can be for a square stone or a round. I prefer it for a round though. And Brian Gavin has GORGEOUS stones that will look fantastic in that setting. I recommend that you get it in platinum.

So that's $2550.
That leaves you with 5450 for the stone.

You can work with BGD for a stone, which is what I recommend. Their signature line stones are going to be beautiful and can compete with HoF. If you want to work with BGD for one of their virtual selection stones (get a lovely GIA Ex/Ex for less and then have them call it in for you to check it) you can do that too.

Here are some options for stones:

http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/0.964-i-si1-round-diamond-ags-104082148011

I've worked with BGD for a number of projects and they always come out exceeding my expectations.

You can also get a stone somewhere else and send it to BGD for setting. There would be a setting fee. But usually that's nominal.

Thank you both very much for your suggestions!

Gypsy - I absolutely loved the two stones you singled out from JA. They haven't been ruled out.

As I continued to scour PriceScope to boost my knowledge and get comfortable with spending my savings - I realized that I'm only a couple hours away from WhiteFlash. I made an appointment for tomorrow. If you have a chance, please look at the setting I'm checking out (is it good quality?) and the stones. I don't have the greatest eyes yet for picking stones & qualities that make them the best value.

The Ritani Setting http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/diamond-settings/ritani-french-set-cushion-halo-diamond-band-engagement-ring-3376.htm

The first stone WF recommended over the phone was http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3569941.htm

I asked her about this one - it seemed a good price for the quality? http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3565122.htm

In her follow up email, she sent me a few others (along with the one I asked her to look at - which is the second on this page)

They have their Cut Above stones and their Expert Selection stones. Should I just look at Expert Selections so as not to pay the Cut Above Premium? I'd like to buy the setting and stone in one place if possible.

If there is an amazing WF stone you know of, or happen to run across - the setting is a little less than I thought it would be - so I have room to go a little higher on the stone.

Thank you all SO much!

I believe brian gavin diamonds is in Houston as well, so you might as well visit them too when you make your trip to white flash.

Brian Gavin is right there as well. You should go see both.
