I just purchased a stone was looking for some input as to whether it was money well spent or not. It was $7500 for stone. Not sure if I got deal or not. 8000 was most i could spend on a stone.
GIA
Round Brilliant
1.15ct
Color H
VVS2
Cut excellent
Polish excellent
Symmetry excellent
Medium fluorescence
6.74mm - 6.76mm x 4.08mm
Crown 34.0
Pavillion 40.6
Table 59.0
Depth 60.5
HCA score 1.1

I can request idealscope image but they said it will delay order 3 to 5 days. Is it worth seeing? Any input is much appreciated. Im nervous I might not have made good decision on stone or could have got it cheaper or could have gotten more bang for my buck. Thanks in advance.

Yes, definitely request the IS image. You can't really judge solely based on the information you provided. Were you seeking out a 60/60 stone?

I was not searching for 60/60 stone in particular. That was just one I thought (with limited research due to time constraints) was decent for my price range. Here is a photo of the stone. Screenshot_2018-05-23-13-14-28-1.png

Looks like a nice stone, but vvs2 for me is over kill.
If you want to maximise size, these happen to look like very eye clean si2s in your budget. You'd have to ensure there are no transparency issues from the gemologist.

There are people here that swear by Vs and above for little reason if the stone is properly vetted by a gemologist. If they are clear, they would look substantially bigger than the stone you selected.

If you want a very high clarity by all means yours is a fine choice.

It is a spready shallow cut stone that'll probably look quite bright with good scintillation, but at the expense of some fire and it falls just out of the AGS ideals. However, you already bought it and there's a good chance you'll love it in person once you receive it. The stone will look best away from head obstructions.

Thanks for input. I requested the idealscope image. Ill see how that looks and post it here. If its not looking good i will cancel with JA and look at something from Whiteflash. Seems like they have a better trade up policy and settings i like more.

Ugh, sorry to hear this. Did it get cleared and have you reserved/bought the WF stone recommended?

I like it, both stone and setting. But it will be going back at some point to be fixed. The stone is slightly tilted in setting. Gunna have to be after proposal though.

A good chance she'll like it fine just the way it is. My e-ring stone is slightly off center with the arrows and it never bothered me.

Second photo is ring turned around. Shows the tilt of stone. What do you guys think about it?

oh I see what you mean. The stone doesn't look to be set level with the setting.

Im going to be heading on vacation for proposal June 29th. I contacted James Allen and they said it would take a couple weeks for fix. They said I could send it in after proposal or whenever to be fixed. People I've shown in person say they cant see it. I think its very noticeable in pictures and I notice it immediately now.
