HI All
I am currently in the process of buying an engagement ring and am looking for a diamond. In the process of cleaning my grandmothers estate out I was fortunate to find what I thought, and still do, was a beautiful loose diamond. I do not have much sentimental attachment to it but I do enjoy the story of using my grandmothers diamond for the next steps in my life. It was recommended to get it graded with GIA so I did and below are the results. I was ready to use it until I started playing the numbers game and comparing it to the "ideal" numbers. I come here seeking advise in keeping it or if I should sell it to and buy a more "numbers correct" stone.
What can I expect for value if I sell?
The number that bothers me the most is the table size. What problems will this cause in the overall appeal of the stone?
Also any use to re polishing a stone to get the rating higher than good?
Any other results that I should be concerned with?
What do you guys think? Good or Bad?
