Advice requested please - will this VS2 be eye clean? It's a 1.2c. And does it look a bit yellow? (it's an E)

I have spent HOURS looking for a diamond I like better but always come back to this. There are a lot of little black spots (carbon spots?) and one white mark towards the surface / top.

I would say probably, but you can most likely get them to pull it and ask from how many inches away is it eyeclean.

That pic is likely 20x zoom.

Highly doubt that an E would be yellow, it should be extremely white. VS2 are generally eye-clean but I would check with the vendor and ask them if they are just to be sure.

There is a lot of mush and its not well cut but..

@Karl_K thank you very much for this. By 'mush' do you mean the facets aren't cut well enough to reflect light? I did notice those grey 'mush' patches in the video but assumed it was normal. Would you say just avoid this stone? here is the link https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.20-carat-e-color-vs2-clarity-sku-9107016

@Moonie thanks, you are so right. I've been viewing lots of D diamonds zoomed in and think my eyes are going funny!

@whitewave great advice, thank you. i asked and they said with covid they can't do this at the moment but generally a VS2 should be eyeclean up to 10 inches. I wouldn't have asked that without you!

Sorry I can not say buy or not in this situation.
Yes mush is areas of inefficient light return.

This "mush" is typical of a lot of ovals. The good thing about this stone is that nice facets that do light up with a slight turn (some stay mushy and
do not have additional facets that light up).

We can try to help you find a better stone if you want to take a look around. The really good ones are few and far between though.

Edit...an example. I would consider a stone like this in the top tier for ovals. Lots of facets with nice light return. Minimized mushy areas.
Most ovals that I* like personally tend to be 6 mains.

Thank you so much!
I am currently considering this one for purchase and would love your opinion! https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.01-carat-e-color-vs1-clarity-sku-5069210 My main worry is that the girdle is reported as thick to extremely thick, and I'm not sure what impact this has other than hiding carat (which of course I don't want to do!). This is an 8 main (B) - I had to google what a main was so you've taught me something new!
