Hello pricescopers,

I have been a lurker for quite some time.. and i post this hoping to get the advice from those savvy with diamond specs and what that means in terms of flashes and fire? How does it rate?
The diamond in question is:

1.2carats
Round brilliant
G colour
VS1
Depth % 62.6
Culet Small
crown angle 35.5
pavillion depth 43.3%

excellent cut and symmetry with a 'very good' polish

I cant wait to read what your thoughts on this diamond might be.
kindest thanks in advance :)

With a pavilion depth of 43.3%, I'm guessing the pavilion angle is around 41? If so, the pavilion and crown angles are not a good match, and the diamond will probably leak light.

What is the cost?

Have you put the measurements into the HCA tool to see how it scores?

Let us know your budget (in USD) and your preferences in terms of Clarity/Colour/Carat - we might be able to find you something good.

Can you post the pavilion angle in degrees? Or give us a link to the GIA report?

Thank you all for responding.

The crown angle is 35.5.

Is the pavilion angle something different ?

I hope this figure can solve the puzzle ?

Thank you again

If you haven't already, it may be useful for you to read through the information contained within the tabs at the top of the forum - there's quite a lot in there, although I'm not sure if the various angles and measurements are covered. It's worth checking.

Shicara,
The easiest way to provide the basic information the community here needs to understand the diamond you are considering and to give you advice, is to post the GIA or AGS report number. The report can then be looked up on the lab websites.
One thing to keep in mind, assuming this is a GIA diamond, is that Triple Ex is becoming more of an expectation in the market all the time. If you ever want to sell or trade the diamond, all else being equal, a Triple Ex is better to have.

The crown is 35 on this stone and the pavilion angle is the 40.6 below the 35.

Is it gia/ags graded?
