I’m new here and was wondering what your thoughts are on this diamond. I read about CA/PA and this one is 34.5/41 but I’m not too entirely sure what it means that the CA is .5 higher. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance!

I’m torn between going with the extra carat weight and more inclusions over smaller carat weight with less inclusions. The 2.9 also has this weird thin circular line on the left. Would you happen to have any idea what this could be? I chatted with Ritani but they don’t seem to know what it is either.

It won’t pull up because it’s in return, thats why you have to ask for Bailey. She has handled it and can grab it before it goes back up.

The circular line is likely a reflecting inclusion, and probably not noticeable to the naked eye. I wouldn't worry about most VS1 inclusions. I like the 2.90 a lot. It looks like the 2.72 isn't available anymore.

I actually purchased the 2.72 I was getting antsy and didn’t want it to get snatched up. I had the intentions of purchasing both to compare but already had a lower clarity diamond on my credit card that I had cancelled and was waiting for the charge to drop. When I went back to purchase the 2.9, it was sold…

Anyway, I’d still love your opinion on the 2.72. I’m a little concerned about the inclusion and it possibly affecting the durability since it’s along the girdle. I’m definitely still in the market for a larger stone so I can see whether I like the larger carat weight. If you wouldn’t mind helping in my search, here are my specifications: 2.8+, G+, VS1+, $3500 max spend.

The 2.78 and 2.80 . Do you think the 2.8 being outside of the depth range suggested on PS is concerning?

I plugged in the 2.78 into HCA and it says it faces up “average”. Not sure if that’s ideal?

Depth is fine...you have to consider the height of the crown (e.g. a smaller table with a slightly steeper crown angle will add height, this increases overall depth...nothing to worry about, with this specific occurrence).
For the HCA, "average" diameter/spread means that it's exactly as expected for a well proportioned diamond at a given carat weight.
Small means that it's probably too deep, bigger can mean that it's probably too shallow.

Interesting, I haven't seen the lines look so pronounced before. Probably best to avoid then.

I keep reading about a blue nuance that could be associated with a HPHT. Is there anything that stands out to you from the video/image?

Nope, it looks good!

jadeyvu I also personally prefer HPHT over CVD as long as there's no blue nuance, which this one doesn't have.
