Hi,

I'm a complete diamond amateur and was hoping for some advice on this rock if you can from the specs.

The specs are listed as:

Estimated weight - .60 Ct
Diameter - 5.43
Crown angle - 34.4 degrees
Crown height - 15.2%
Pavil angle - 40.5 degrees
Pavil depth - 43.3 %
Culet- 0%
Table size - 56.2%
Total depth - 61.7%
3.35 mm
Girdle thickness - 1.8-2.8% sl. Thick
Star/upper 52.0:48.0%

The cut is apparently ideal.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, it's AGS certified:

Round, 0.60 Ct, E, SI2.

Can you post the AGS report? Looks okay though. The pavilion angle is just a hair shallow, but if it's an AGS 000 then I'd say you're good to go as far as the cut goes.

Have you verified that it's eye-clean? Be careful with SI2 and SI1 diamonds.

I'm just trying to figure out how to post the report.

It says that it is the cut grade, light performance, Polish and symmetry are all AGS ideal 0.

If it's AGS 000 then it's great, no need to worry about the cut. I would however look into if it's eye clean. You wouldn't want to be able to see the inclusions. For SI1 and SI2 stones you need to ask the vendor or verify yourself.

I spoke to the vendor today, he assures me that it is eye clean.

Looks great. If it's eye clean, then go for it.

I'd always make sure there's a solid return policy just for your protection.

Nice find!

Great, I'm going to grab it.

Thanks for your advice, it's much appreciated.

Now to find out her ring size...

To my untrained eye, this little rock looks absolutely beautiful. Hard to get a shot that does it justice on my iPhone.

JDDN, thanks for your advice.

Y'all going to wish me luck or what?

Beautiful! Wonderful diamond, and a perfect classic setting. Good luck and early congrats!
