What is the opinion on this oval? Is a price of 35k about right or too high?

Asets for fancies like ovals, marquise and pears are hard because they dont look as nice as a round or even emerald cut might.
What did GOG say about it? did they or could they maybe make you a video??

I saw it in person and it is really pretty stone. It is large and well cut. With a g color even in direct light it was quite nice, Jonathan liked it as well. I am most concerned on the pricing.

Do you have a photo of the diamond?

Hi bigds
It's much harder to compare fancy shapes such as ovals online. I quickly entered your stones stats into the diamond search tool above and oval stones that are same-similar specs range from 16k to 53k. It's not all that meaningful because we don't know about performance. The stone you're interested in, it looks like it could have a big bowtie, did you notice it in person? Are you please with the length to width ratio? And have you seen other ovals in person? That's the best way, you'll be ab,e to gather a baseline of what you like an oval to have.

Eta: fwiw, I see GOG has an oval G colour 2.7, VS1 for 46k, faint Fluor so I'd say they are definitely in the ballpark with your stone.
