I''m very close to making the decision to purchase an oval diamond that is 1.58 carets with the dimensions: 9.66 X 6.4 Now I need some advice on setting.
My husband recently passed away and I''d like to have his wedding ring modified to hold this diamond. His wedding band is 5-6 milimeters (I have no idea the exact width) with miligraining around the edges. I''d like to have the band cut down to fit me and a head added to accommodate a diamond. I''d also like to have a pair of sapphires (about 1/2 caret each) that he gave me years ago set into the band.
Now.....my question is, would the diamond described above, be big enough (or to big). I''m worried that the diamond would be dwarfed by the band. Some feedback and opinions would be very helpful.
