I am looking to create an engagement ring. I am after something which has a lot of fire and brilliance. Unfortunately i do not have the ASET nor Ideal Scope images for this. Given the specifications below what are your thoughts on this diamond? I know the clarity being IF may be overkill but i'm interested in getting something special for the missus.

Thank you in advance.

It scores a 1 on the HCA which is good, definitely worth looking at. The table is a bit larger than normally recommended (54-58%). Can you get more imaging from the vendor?

I get that you want something special for this ring but yes, many of us would happily go to say, G VS2 and have a bigger stone! Please checkout other stones in your budget just to make sure!

Good luck with your search, let us know how you get on.

Have you talked to your missus about whether she would find technically flawless (not actually if you look at how it's defined) but smaller more appealing than larger with invisible inclusions? Since it is a gift for her, it seems that what she considers special is paramount.
Also I came across this while looking for information about IF and FL and thought it interesting three-good-reasons-not-to-wear-a-flawless-diamond/

I requested for ASET/Ideal Scope images and Blue Nile have informed me that it will take 24-48 hours for me to receive them. By which time i just discovered this diamond is no longer available on the BN website... oh bummer.

Hi Foxinsox

To be honest the missus is not bothered, it's me who's making a fuss wanting to get her some special and something which is worth the investment since the diamond is going to be for life. But i totally understand, a lot of people have pointed out the fact it makes little to no difference going for a lower cut to the naked eye.
