I know i'm doing this backwards but i need advice on a stone i just bought for my wife's engagement ring.
The stone is eye clean and it looks great in person but i can't get over the fact that i could have gotten something "better" from an online vendor.

My misgivings are that it isn't an H&A and its slightly too deep. I don't have a camera good enough to take idealscope pics but when i looked at the stone through the ideascope before it was set, it was between a good and very good.
Setting is also open.

I'm just unsure what to do, whether or not i should return it and purchase something different from Whiteflash or Brian Gavin.
My wife is elated with the stone but i'm having some anxiety about if i got the best i possibly could for my $27,000 or if i should have spent a little more to get something i'd be happier with.
Also thought about a recut from BG but i'd be taking on the risk if it doesn't turn out well.

Any advice would be welcome
HCA Tool(1.4) tells me i should sit down and shut up but i'm just not sure.

The numbers look good and the depth is a tad over 62 - some advice allows for a depth to include that of your stone. Unless the H&A is extremely important to you, I'd relax and enjoy.

You can use the diamond search at the top of the page to input your stone's parameters to look at comparable stones in terms of price. You can also call WF or BGD to see what they have available if it would put your mind at ease.

I think you've found a beautiful stone but do what you must to insure that you and your wife can enjoy it for many years to come!

The numbers look very good, and the price was good, too. Are you sure about the idealscope images, though?

Thanks for the encouraging words, i think i'm just being a worry wort.
This is the largest jewelry purchase i've ever made and i don't want to get it wrong.

The most important thing is she does loves it.

When i looked at the unset stone through the idealscope the area under the table was a bright pink while the girdle was completely red.

Pink and red is fine. Little specs of white are fine, too, if they are in the right places. What you don't want is a ring of white in the center. I think you did great! Stop worrying! No wonder she loves it...it is gorgeous!!!

You did a great job! Now enjoy it!!

Beautiful ring, Mr Deeds!! Check out the diamond search and see what comparables run at. That should help put your mind at ease. Specs look good. Setting is stunning! Enjoy and hope your wife wears it in good health!

nice stone going by the specs, and you don't need a H&A stone.

I truly appreciate all the reassuring comments.

I feel much better knowing i got the pricescope approval.
I wasn't really that enamored with an H&A, just thought that might have been what i should have been shopping for considering the price i was willing to spend.

Her ring is truly beautiful and as you've been told by the others, the numbers look great! I think you did an impressive job! Sit back and enjoy it!

I would be happy with a diamond with those specs, so you did well!

You have nothing to worry about...angles are good and you don't have to have H&A to have a lovely
stone and I think you found one!

Gorgeous ring - enjoy!!

Looks fabulous to me too!! I think you are golden!
