Advice on purchasing loose stone for cocktail ring

I love the Tiffany sparklers line but understand that I would be overpaying. I am not particular about the stone but looking for something similar to that look. I have a jeweler that can custom set a loose stone. I was looking at some amethysts and peridots on the Ajs gems site. Any other sites you can recommend?
