Advice on Princess Cut

I am considering buying the following princess cut diamond. I would appreciate any feedback on the quality and price of the diamond. It is a certified Canadian diamond, but I am told this does not affect the price noticeable.

As a recent diamond purchaser, I'd recommend shoping around for a little bit - e.g. compare prices with different shops, and compare with online vendors. Just to give you a little perspective, I bought a 1.57 princess, VVS2, E, 70 table, 72 depth... blah, blah... for $10,006 in April. (no tax, shipping included). While prices have increased about 5% this last fiscal quarter... the diamond you are considering seems a bit high. Also, keep in mind, princess diamonds with "depth" exceeding 75% have a lower chance of being brilliant. Good luck.
