Advice on potential great deal

This diamond has caught my eye due to it's excellent price when compared with others of the same weight, and color.

What's interesting is that though there are quite a few inclusions, most of them are twinning whisps, which are, as I understand it, not usually visible to the human eye (even at magnification) without special lighting.

Just as a reference, I could get this diamond at about 15-20% lower price than other si2 of the same color, cut and weight.

What are you opinions on this? Is this a good find, or should I pass so I am not disappointed?

With a larger stone like this I am obviously concerned with inclusions, but if they are the right kind maybe  ?

It's the very strong blue that is bringing down the price. The fluoro may cause the stone to look cloudy in combination with the lower clarity. So even though I like fluoro, it would have to be a VS1 or close for me to consider strong blue+. I don't like the measurements, either. Table is large and crown is really low.

Pass.

I am just curious if it is the SI2, the fluorescence or the cutting that brings down the price so much. This diamond might be worth a look, but for your own best interest, be sure to look at some better cut stones at the same time and also be sure to only bring it in if the vendor has a strong return policy. This one is going to be on the "other side" of the cusp for many of us, but it is your eyes that must do the talking. Just remember, that there is a reason why it is so cheap, and being the beauty queen of the class is not likely the reason...

Do you at least have pictures of this stone? Have you seen it in person?

I somehow missed the fluorescence, thanks for the heads up.

There is nothing wrong with fluorescence on its own, if that is what you are implying. I would guess it would be the type of SI2 (the placement of the inclusions) in combination with the color and the presence of fluor that brings the price to where it is. If it was a cleaner looking, better cut J SI2 with fluor than I'm sure we would not hesitate to recommend it.
