Advice on Pear Shape anniversary ring!

Frist time online diamond shoper, Would like to thanks all for helpful threads here.
Trying to get my special one a anniversay ring. Pear shapes are a beauty and I think something betweem .8 <= 1 Carat will fit my budget.

After last three days of reading and researching, I am looking at these three stones:

Nope. never ever ever buy from anywhere that doesn't provide pictures of a fancy cut stone!!!! Or a round for that matter. ID Jewelry will provide you one so you can call them, but definite no to the others.

OK I'll look for some when I have the time, but a pear is the worst thing to look for without pictures. They could have bowties for days! Well find you something lovely. What's your budget

Yes, I.D did sens me a video, but it has visible bow tie, though it seems like a beautiful stone..I am not an expert at these and cannot visit in person, so seeking help here.

@nielseel : budget is <= $5k with a nice halo setting if possible. I am very much interested is getting pink halo surronding the pear,if et-all possible in my budget. thank you.
 
I checked these, from what I read, isn't the table and depth, somewhat on higher/lower?
Also the last one: 1carat seems good, but report shows a strong blue!
 
Pink melee? Sounds cute. I was going to say my pear is 8.5x5.5 ( a better way to measure pears than ctw, my pear is actually under a. Ct)

Pink is going to cost you, but if you are interested in it is contact DBL. they are very good with colored stones. I'd email them and tell them your desired specs and they should be able to help. If it helps my ring is strong blue. 9 ct in a plain shank designer brand type halo and still was under 5k

I'd say go si1 as long as its eye clean and try and stay above h. But tell them that and I they find something good. Also to lower the cost making it a plain shank would cut down on that

BTW - sapphires and rubies come in PINK - that's a viable option for your halo. Love pears............

is Close to nielseel specs..LxW...but,there is a feather or hair line on the face..but will it be that that visible.? Looks to be in budget...

Was thinking halo with pink melee on white gold..or if cannot afford that then white tiny ones on rose gold.

would you suggest the whole thing on rose gold?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that!!! We like strong blue fluorescence!!! I think it's a great price for the size diamond and looks beautiful and would look great surrounded by pink stones!

WEll i am bias, im currently considering making a new ring, if i keep my pear than im going to have it white metal basket and halo, and rose gold shank. So i really like that look of mixed metals. But would you be going plain shank or would you have diamonds down the shank as well?
this isnt too helpful because its photoshopped and huge BUT heres one thats pink kk the way around and i think it looks nice with all rose gold

Now i know its an i1 BUT it might be worth asking to see if that inclusion is dangerous, because they keep raving about how its eye clean, and it faces up nice and large (which means you might have to ask how sparkly it is)

and if you were willing to go plain shank, id ask them if they could do this with a pear in all rose gold and pink melee, OR if rose gold doesnt look good on your skin, with white gold band. i think it would look good mixed because the white metal band would pull back the white in the diamond
 
just wanted to post another PS'er ring, i think the pink melee in white isnt as flattering to the melee color

Good feedback....Pink in rose gold it is!...I really like where you are going with your upgrade...it will look fabolous. For now I dont think my budget will permit to go for double shank.

From a stone standpoint! What would be your pick out of three ? , the beautiful fingers these will be adoring are size 7.5 :)

Jamesallen has some good choice on fittings (looking good in pictures atleast) and will come under budget, but no option of colored stones! Also, in talks with DBL now, looks like my train is finally moving...excited about finalizing and a bit overwhelmed with all the choices! :rodent: thnx.

Haha aren't you the sweetest! You're ring is going to be fabulous! Did you decide if it would be mixed metals or all rose gold?

i think waiting to hear back from DBL is the best idea. I dont know how expensive pink melee is, i know light pink is less expensive than a more vivid one, but i know they are fairly expensive comparatively. So id wait until you hear what they can do on that setting before looking for a pear. Also, i think they give you a better deal if you buy the pear with them. I know they have very few on there site, but they would go out and find you a good one. James allen is a great way to buy diamonds, but they dont have any pear settings i love, and i dont even know if they can do pink
 
I totally agree with the pink melee in rose gold. That is such a beautiful combination. Here is my ring from DBL. Pear with pink diamond halo! :wavey:
