Hi everyone, ideas please, :wavey:

Since I got my new e-ring (upgrade on a strict budget), I am now searching for a new diamond wedding band.

The new e-ring just doesn't go with my old yellow gold 4mm wedding band. I'm would like to find a half-eternity band that won't over power my .62ct, AGS 000, G, SI1 RB. My e-ring setting has a small bump that sticks out at the base of the shank. The e-ring is in 18K WG. I wear a size 4 ring. (small, old, hands!!! )

I looked at stores locally to see what would look nice. I seem to gravitate towards a 9 to 11 stone band at 1/3ct or so, 2mm or 2.4mm. I'm also concerned about the two rings rubbing together, either gold on gold of the prongs, or diamonds on gold. I don't want an eternity band because i think it would bug me to have something rubbing against my inner fingers. (I also am on a budget and don't feel like paying for diamonds i may not see!) Should I try a 2mm WG plain band to separate?? I'm not sure what style I would like, but I have eliminated the channel set, doesn't look right next to the e-ring, I'd like to see more diamonds (bling). I also don't like the contour settings, because I'd like to be able to wear the diamond band with a plain WG 2mm band, when not wearing the e-ring. I'd like to see sparkle, but not so much as to override the e-rings nice diamond.

I would greatly appreciate your suggestions! =)

Hi,
Your ring is really lovely! How wide is the band? For your 9 or 11 stone I would stick to something that is
close to the same width. I would not buy a plain 2mm gold band just yet. Buy your 9/11 stone first and see
if the bump (donut) will hold the rings off of each other. I dont think you have to worry about gold against gold.
You do need to worry about diamond against gold. If the stones are rubbing the gold then I would get the thinnest
(1mm or 1.5mm) gold band I could find to hold the 9/11 stone off. Some PSers have had them made by etsy
vendors. If you do a seach on 1mm gold band or 1.5 mm gold band on etsy you will find some.

So...bottom line, get your 9/11 stone first then gold band later if needed.

I agree that a dainty 2mm diamond band would be best! And I'd get bead-set or some other low setting as opposed to shared-prong to avoid the diamond rubbing issue.

This is full eternity, but I think something like this would be pretty:

Maybe something like this:

So many good choices!

Also, I would talk to ID Jewelry and see what they have in the 9/11 stone range. They can
probably make any size in any type of setting and are resonably priced from what I've heard.

Maybe something like this. Tell them you need something set low.

You could go with something bead set. I think that would probably keep the stones off
your other ring.

...just noticed that DS mentioned bead set also...I second it.

I just added a bunch of examples. I know a shared prong would cut into her e-ring setting, so it is a mistake to go that route unless she plans on wearing a plain spacer band.
