I have a gia certificate diamond that I would like opinions on. I will attach pics and the cert. The specs seem to be pretty good, but I am still new at this.
I put the numbers in the AGA cut tool, and everything comes back as a 1A except for crown height which comes back as a 4B bringing the total to a 4A.
Is this bad?

Length:9.68
Width:5.47
Depth:3.40
Total Depth:62.16%
Table percent:55
Crown height:62.2
Girdle (from):Medium
Girdle (to):Thick
Polish:Excellent / Very Good
Symmetry:Excellent / Very Good
OP - based on the certificate, the depth is 62.2% - the certificate does not list a crown height at all - so throw out the 4B for crown height - I am guessing but based on the photo image I would assume the crown height is in the 1A-to-1B range. From the photo it also seems the bowtie is minimal, and it is a pleasing shape ... I'd think this marquise is definitely worth checking into further.
Thank you. Any advice on what to look at next? It's a G color SI1 1 carat. Gia cert. It's available online, so I cannot see it. I have more pictures, but they all look similar. Do you think it's too "fat" looking, or is this just about right?
Other than lab certificates, magnified photos and IdealScopes, the best way to choose a fancy diamond is with your eyes - if the vendor has a solid return policy, maybe purchase it and examine it yourself?
Can your vendor offer you an ASET image? They tend to more valuable when assessing fancy cuts. I'm really diggin' the photo though, I'd be interesting in more information. Oh...are you able to have them determine if the stone is eye clean?
I am trying to get an IdealScope image if possible. I will also ask about the ASET image. I have also asked them if it is eye clean, and they said they are having their gemologist check into it for me, so hopefully I will hear back tomorrow. It seems to have good specs.
