What do you think is a good clarity for earrings? Of course I want to maximize the size with the money that I can spend, and I would like a G color. Do you think SI''s are good? or can I go any lower? or higher? my ring is VS1 and I''ve got a necklace that is VS2, just for reference. Thanks for any input

Eyeclean SI1 and SI2''s are just fine. Sometimes though, depending on inventory, you might have to end up with VS2, either with one or both. Just be flexible. And make sure the cut is good.

And honestly, you could go lower in color too without it showing. But, that''s somewhat of a personal thing.

I think you''re safe going SI for sure. In fact, for me personally, I wouldn''t go above SI, especially for earrings which are never viewed at a very close distance.

My earrings are SI1 ACAs and they''re impeccable and I''m so happy I went w/that clarity because I was able to afford a higher color (F) that way. FWIW, my pendant and eng. ring are both VS2s and my earrings look just as good!

Excellent advice!

si2 eyeclean at 12"-14" would be ideal value wise but hard too find.
