Advice on a signifigant difference in pricing on a diamond

Hey everyone. Long time watcher, first time poster, so please go gentle!

I was looking online for a diamond and I came across this diamond first:

It is a 1.80 Carat diamond
Ideal Cut
G Color
VS2
GIA rated and goes for about $20,661

Looking further, I found this diamond:

It is a 1.83 Carat diamond
Ideal Cut
G Color
VS2
GIA rated and goes for about $19,817

I am would be getting a bigger diamond and saving about $800 dollars!

Now, on the diamond on the Ritani website I can actually see the diamond in 360 degree photography! Which I think is pretty cool!
I called them yesterday (which was a Sunday) and they have a Virtual Gemologist that actually went over the diamond with me. They were very easy and pleasant to deal with and actually educated me quite extensively on what I should be looking at, when I purchase a diamond.

So now, I am looking for a third party opinion about which way I go? Am I possibly missing something? That seems to be a big difference in price and value. I am a little nervous, has anyone had any experience with Ritani? I know that they are a newer company.

What is the diameter of each diamond? Spread is another important factor.

Sometimes you can also get a vendor with a price match guarantee to evaluate stones as well and send you pictures. (I went through IDJ)

For what it is worth department.

Both of those stones are graded by GIA. GIA does not grade for Ideal cut, their top grade is Excellent.

In order to have a top tier laboratory report that says Ideal you would need to be buying an AGS graded diamond.

Technically you are being misinformed when your vendor is calling these ideal cuts rather than the excellent cuts that he can properly call them.

It is not unusual.

First detail: The 1.83 has a smaller diameter than the 1.80. At 7.84 mm average it faces up with the diameter of a well-cut 1.75ct.

As a technical note, neither of these diamond is "ideal cut" by strict standards. While they are both GIA EX they fall into an area that is subject to less light return and brightness due to the pavilion angle / crown angle pairing. AGS, the lab which made the concept of "ideal cut" popular, predicts both proportions sets to receive AGS 4 in light performance, depending on specific details. The Holloway Cut Adviser (used a lot by regulars here) ranks them both at 4.8.

For what it's worth, the 58/41.4/34.0 combination could be brighter (in my experience) than the 55/41.4/35.0, depending on cut specifics that cannot be determined from the reports alone.
