Hi! I know this forum has many experts, and I'm certainly not one! I'm looking for an engagement ring and was hoping to get the wisdom of the community about this diamond from James Allen and whether or not it seems like a fair, good, or great diamond. I've attached the GIA certificate and ASET image. The video of the diamond can be seen here: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/3.20-carat-g-color-vs1-clarity-sku-8579823

I really appreciate everyone's input and guidance.

Thank you!

I give the ASET 80/100.
But considering the 3.0+ carat weight, relatively high color/clairty and rarity, I give 90/100 overall.

What do you think of this diamond based on the ASET? This one seems better than the original one, but I don't know how much better..

This is the link for the ASET image above with the video.

As a trade member I cannot recommend one or the other. But I can say that ASET signatures on fancy cuts take more experience to read than on rounds.

While the light map on the second one has more overall red and might be considered by some to be superior for that reason alone, the map on the first one shows more heterogeneity and evenly distributed low angle light (green), contrast (blue) and leakage(white). This combo can potentially produce more dynamic light performance. Even the leakage, in small enough quantities and well distributed, can provide some contrast and actually accentuate performance.

I prefer the first one you posted based on the video. It looks more lively and like it has more contrast.

See @Texas Leaguer 's response.
There are stones with alot of reds and no leakage, but considered poorly cut. Here is an extreme example. It is a round but still explains what others are saying

Now, I think the two stones are about equal depending on what you value the most. You want a stone that excels in brightness in a diffused light setting? Go with #2. You want some lively light reflection and facet patterns? #1 is better.

Thank you all for your insight and advice!! I really appreciate it.
