Hi all,
I had a look at a couple of lab growns at a jewellery store in Sydney (Cerrone) and one of them didn't look too bad and I wanted to get some opinions of it.
It was a round 1.06ct, F, VS 2, XXX
60% Table,
59.7% Depth,
34.9° Crown,
40.6° Pavilion
HCA = 1.4 - within TIC range
Report attached.
They want $4200 for it, but I think that price can move a bit.
From other places, similarly spec'd diamonds are going for ~$3200.
I was able to look at it through an ASET, and it looked pretty good, lots of red, arrows blue, and a tiny bit of green. First time using an ASET, so not 100% sure what I was looking for. I'm guessing minimal white.
I think I want something fiery and with maximum scintillation, but I've heard FICs are not as common and if this is a decent diamond, I might go for it.
They're pretty adamant that their supplier doesn't have any Tolkowsky cut diamonds, only 60/60, which I think is a bit odd, they seem to love big tables.
Any advice is much appreciated, Thanks
